Airtel Tanzania continues with its commitment to support education sector in the country were this weekend Airtel has handover books aid to Tosamaganga secondary school in Iringa and Mkanjuni Secondary in Tanga respectively.
Airtel through “shule yetu” the initiative that aim to support education sector has donated science books worth 6 million shillings. to the Tosamaganga and Mkanjuni secondary schools.
Speaking during handover ceremony Airtel Zonal Sales Manager Brighton Majwala said” Airtel has invested in supporting the community focusing in education , our aim is to ensure we encounter shortage of teaching aid in secondary schools and uplift academic performance, today we demonstrate our commitment and donate books toMkanjuni secondary in Tanga. We believe the aid will be a catalyst to good academic performance in our secondary schools.
Our contribution today does not end it here in Tanga, we have other beneficiaries from Tosamaganga Secondary Iringawho have also receive teaching aid today, our aim is to ensure we continue supporting the community around us while enhance education level in the country through the most value asset found in books.
Speaking on the event Tanga district commissioner Halima Dendego said” we thank Airtel for reaching us today, we are delighted to see the shule yetu program that has reach lot of school has finally landed to our school in Tanga, we are honored and appeal this to not end it here but rather extended to other secondary school in Tanga. With this aid we promise to do well and put more effort for better academic performance of the school, student and the society as whole.
On his side Tosamaganga Secondary School Headmaster Damasi Mgimwa said “Airtel understand the importance of education that why they have decided to heavy invest in education to empower the society economical. We thank Airtelfor this aid that will eliminate the challenges that is shortage of books in the school.
Airtel through shule yetu program has reach more than 900 schools in the country last week Airtel donate books toMbeya Secondary and the plan is to have more schools and regions benefit from book aid.
