SERIKALI ya Jamhuri ya Ireland kupitia
Shirika la Maendeleo nchini humo limetoa msaada wa kiasi cha Uero 350,000 (zaidi
ya milioni 700) kwa Shirika la Kutetea Haki za Wanawake na Watoto (Kivulini)
mkoani Mwanza kwa ajili ya kuwezesha mpango wa kujenga uwezo wa jamii na
taasisi za Serikali ili kuendelea kupambana na vitendo vya ukatili wa kijinsia katika
Kata 10 wilayani Misungwi mkoani hapa.
Msaada huo umetolewa leo na Waziri wa
Mambo ya Nje wa Ireland anayeshughulikia Maendeleo, Ciaran Cannon, aliye ambatana na Mkurugenzi mkuu wa Shirika
la Maendeleo nchini humo, Ruairi De Burca pamoja na Balozi wa Ireland nchini, Paul
Sherlock, kwenye uzinduzi wa Mradi wa mpango wa kupambana na ukatili wa jinsia,
uliofanyika kwenye viwanja vya Amani wilayani Misungwi.
Kata zilizo nufaika na mradi huo ni
pamoja na Usagara, Idetemya, Kolomije, Igokelo, Misungwi, Mbarika, Misasi,
Nundulu, Sumbugu na Mabuki walengwa watakaofikiwa moja kwa moja 144,744 na wengine 289,488 ambao watafikiwa
kwa kupata elimu kutoka kwa wananchi wengine waliopata mafunzo.

kati ya saba nchini Tanzania amebainika kufanyiwa vitendo vya unyanyasaji wa kijinsia, hatua
ambayo inazidi kuchangia kupunguza
nguvu kazi ya taifa.
Waziri huyo wa Mambo ya nje wa
Ireland, Bwana Cannon amesema kuwa serikali ya nchi yake itaendelea
kushirikiana na Tanzania katika mambo mbalimbali ikiwemo
kupambana na vitendo vya Ukatili, Afya na Mfuko wa kusadia kaya masikini
nchini

Zaidi ya asilimia 40 ya Wanawake
nchini (Tanzania) wamebainika kukumbwa na vitendo vya ukatili, hali ambayo haiwakumbi
wanawake pekee bali pia wanaume, nao wameripotiwa kukumbana na vitendo hivyo
vya ukatili nazo takwimu zikishindikana kupatikana ipaswavyo kutokana na
wanaume hao kuona kama ni suala la aibu na fedheha kuripoti kwamba wametendewa
ukatili.

Kwa upande wake Mkurugenzi wa Kivulini, Yasini
Ally amema Wilaya Misungwi ilikuwa ikikabiliwa kiwango cha kutisha na vitendo vya ukatili wa
kijinsia kwa wanawake kunyanyaswa na waume zao ambapo wamepambana kwa kila
hali hatimaye sasa wanashuhudia vitendo hivyo kupungua kwa kasi. BOFYA PLAY KUMSIKILIZA
Awali kabla ya kuzindua mradi huo wa Ukatili
wa Kijinsia kwa Wanawake na Watoto unaoendeshwa na KIVULINI Waziri huyo
ameshuhudia uzinduzi wa Zoezi la Uhawilishaji fedha katika kijiji cha Misungwi
pamoja na kutembelea kituo cha Afya cha Misasi ambapo ameahidi Serikali yake
itaendelea kuchangia katika utatuzi wa changamoto zake.
Kwa mjibu wa takwimu za Mwaka 2015/
2016 zinaonyesha kuwa, vitendo vya ukatili wa kinjisia nchini ni asilimia 58
kitendo ambacho kimetajwa kuwa kinachangia shughuli za maendeleo katika jamii kusuasua.

Kivulini is a civil society organisation which works to improve women’s rights in Tanzania . Kivulini advocates for women’s and girl ’s rights in Tanzania by emphasising the prevention of Violence against women against women and girls.
The Kiswahili word Kivulini means “in the shade”. It implies a place
of safety, under a tree or otherwise, where people meet for discussions
and offer support to one another.
Kivulini was established in 1999 to create opportunities for
community members to come together, talk, organise and work towards
preventing domestic violence so that women and girls are able to enjoy
their rights as stipulated in the Constitution of The United Republic of
Tanzania, African Charter and various human rights conventions.
Vision
Kivulini’s vision is to see a community free from domestic violence
where women’s rights are respected and valued. Kivulini’s mission seeks
to achieve this vision by facilitating and enabling social, economical,
and legal environment which guarantees women and girls the right to live
in violence-free communities through self empowerment, advocacy and
building an active social movement for change.
Objectives
Kivulini is committed to facilitate an enabling social, economical,
and legal environment which guarantees women and girls the right to live
in violence-free communities through self empowerment, advocacy and
building an active social movement for change.
To build momentum for the prevention of Violence Against Women and
girls with emphasis on domestic violence against women and girls in the
Lake Victoria Regions (Mwanza, Kagera, Mara and Shinyanga) and Singida
by:
- Mobilizing communities to take action against Domestic violence
- Strengthening the capacities of local government and CSOs (including Kivulini)
- Advocating and influencing key local and national policies that empower and benefit women and girls.
