MANCHESTER UNITED stormed back from two goals down to have the last laugh over their noisy neighbours and lift the Community Shield at Wembley. United dominated the first half but fell behind seven minutes before the break when Joleon Lescott ghosted in to head home David Silva's free-kick. There was worse to come for the Premier League champs when Edin Dzeko doubled Manchester City's lead on the stroke of half-time with a low drive which David de Gea arguably should have dealt with.
But Alex Ferguson fired up his troops during the break and they wasted little time in finding a way back into the game. Chris Smalling cut the deficit seven minutes into the second half and United were on level terms after 58 minutes when Nani rounded off a fine move.
The game swung from end to end in the closing stages before the Red Devils grabbed victory with a classic sucker punch deep into injury-time.
Nani beat Vincent Kompany to a loose ball the defender simply could not afford to miss on the halfway line.
The Portuguese winger nudged the ball clear and raced through on goal before rounding Joe Hart and slotting into an empty net.

Nani could not hide his delight after getting his hands on the trophy in the season's curtain-raiser. He said: "This is United, we all believe until the last minute and the attitude of the lads in the second half was that everyone thought we could score. "It is good to play against Man City and win like that. I think our fans today will be so proud of us, it is a beautiful day to enjoy." Nani also revealed he had to win a battle of wits with Hart before netting his last-gasp winner. He added: "I wanted to chip it but the keeper stayed on his feet, so at the last second I changed my mind."
Wayne Rooney was equally pleased with United's comeback — and to get one over big-spending City before the Premier League kick-off.

ReplyDeleteClearly, however, newspapers need to try harder to
take advantage of new technologies to tell their stories in ways that
attract and involve readers, young or old.
As a whole the paper has some major drawbacks,
there are no pictures, essentially no world news and the
front page contained a spelling error. But Punjabi news paper has
the upper hand because almost population speaks Punjabi, the official language of Punjab.
Just save your old newspapers, or get some from friends and neighbors and start packing.
