Mzungu Kichaa has been selected to perform at the Danish showcase festival SPOT (www.spotfestival.dk) in May 2013. The tour also includes performances in Tanzania, Germany and the UK. Concerts will be announced on www.facebook.com/mzungukichaa.
During the “unplugged” tour Mzungu Kichaa will launch a new performance setup, which will be ”raw” and “intimate” than before. ”I realised that when I try to enter a new territory with my music, the main problem I face is mobility. My band is from Tanzania and I feel a band from Europe cannot replace them. Therefore I decided to reinvent my music and create an ”unplugged” setup, which is just me and my guitar and just a few accompanying musicians. However, in August and November I will be touring Europe again with my full Tanzanian band. I am very excited about standing on my own two feet during this next tour and getting close and personal with my audience through my ”unplugged” concerts this spring”. – Mzungu Kichaa
